Our Approach

Three frameworks, one nurturing experience

At ILIM Learning Sanctuary, we understand that the early years of a child's life are a time of incredible growth and exploration. We combine the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), the Reggio Emilia approach, and an Islamic framework to create a holistic and enriching experience for your child.

EYLF

Inspiring Curiosity and Learning

The Early Years Learning Framework is the foundation of our approach, guiding us in creating a play-based program that fosters your child's sense of wonder and curiosity. We recognise that learning happens naturally through play, and our educators create an environment that encourages exploration, experimentation, and discovery. Every interaction is an opportunity for learning, and we celebrate each child's unique journey.

Reggio Emilia Approach

Embracing Creativity and Expression

Our adoption of the Reggio Emilia approach allows us to view your child as a capable and creative individual. We believe children are natural communicators, and we encourage their expression through a variety of mediums including art, music, and movement. Our open-ended activities and materials inspire imagination and foster a love for learning that will continue to grow throughout their educational journey.

Islamic Framework

Cultivating Values and Identity

Our incorporation of an Islamic framework adds a meaningful dimension to your child's experience at our centre. We create an atmosphere that promotes Islamic values, respect, kindness, and empathy. Through stories, songs, and activities, we help children develop a strong sense of identity, rooted in their faith and culture.

Our Program

Toddler Room (Lilly Pilly) Program

In our Toddler Room, children aged 24 months to 3 years engage in a variety of age-appropriate activities. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where your child can thrive. We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education — a philosophy that emphasises the child as an active participant in their own learning journey and respects the unique potential of every child. Our Toddler Room is designed to nurture curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning in our little explorers. We invite you to visit our Toddler Room and experience the magic of the Reggio Emilia approach and the EYLF in action.

Our Spaces

The Environment as the Third Teacher

In the spirit of Reggio Emilia, our Toddler Room is thoughtfully designed as a welcoming and stimulating environment. We believe that the physical space plays a crucial role in a child's development, and our room is a testament to this belief. It's filled with natural light, soft colours, and open spaces to encourage exploration and play. Our learning spaces are flexible and adaptable, allowing children to move freely and engage in activities that pique their interest.

EYLF

Inspiring Curiosity and Learning

Our curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), which champions play-based learning and recognises the uniqueness of each child. In our Toddler Room, we focus on the following key outcomes:

  • Belonging, Being and Becoming
  • Learning Through Play
  • Respect for Diversity
  • Holistic Development
  • Partnerships with Families
